Delivery and Installation - FAQs

Standard & Drop-Off Delivery

How much does delivery cost?

All products include FREE UK Mainland delivery. If you live in the Scottish Highlands, Islands, Northern Ireland, the Republic of Ireland, or overseas, additional delivery costs will apply. Please contact us for a custom quote HERE>

How quickly will my safe arrive?

If you choose standard free kerbside delivery and order before 1pm, most products can be delivered within 2 to 5 working days (orders placed over the weekend are dispatched the next working day). Position or Installation services take a little longer and are usually completed within 7 to 10 working days.

How does standard Drop-Off / Kerbside delivery work?

Items under 30kg: Sent via a trackable courier (like DPD or UKMail).

Items over 30kg: Sent via a pallet delivery company. Please note: Your safe will arrive on a pallet, and the driver will manoeuvre it as close to your door as possible.

Please be aware that pallet trucks cannot cross gravel driveways or negotiate steps; if access is restricted, the delivery will be made to the nearest safe kerbside. For safety reasons, drivers cannot assist with removing the safe from the pallet or bringing it inside your property.

Position / Installation Services - and DIY Installations

What is a "Position Delivery" ?

A specialist crew will bring the safe inside your property, navigate up to 2 steps, unwrap all packaging, and place the safe in your desired ground floor location. This service is also available for upper floors at no extra cost if a suitable lift is available.

What does the "Installation Service" include ?

Our engineers will do everything included in a Position Delivery, and will also professionally bolt the safe to your floor or wall. Fixing a safe to a concrete floor is the most secure method and is most commonly approved by insurance companies.

If you are unsure of anything related to your specific installation, please get in touch with us HERE >

When will my installation take place?

Installations are conducted Monday to Friday, from 8am onwards.

We will contact you by phone or email to book a date and provide a morning or afternoon slot. On the day of delivery, our engineers will call you with a more accurate ETA.

Will installing a safe myself invalidate my insurance ?

No, a DIY installation does not automatically invalidate your insurance, provided you follow the manufacturer's instructions exactly.

To maintain the strict standards required, you must anchor the unit directly into solid concrete or structural brickwork using the correct heavy-duty fixing bolts.

If a claims assessor discovers the unit is bolted to weak floorboards or plasterboard, they will immediately void your cover.

Check the product specifications tab for detailed information on fixing points and bolt specs.

What tools do I need to fit a safe correctly?

To guarantee a secure fit that protects the safe's certification, you need a heavy-duty SDS masonry drill, a masonry drill bit precisely matching your anchor size, a hammer, and a heavy-duty socket set to torque the bolts tight.

Standard DIY drills do not possess the power to penetrate a solid concrete base floor deep enough for the heavy-duty bolts required by insurance standards.

Will my chosen safe be too heavy for a DIY install?

Because a good-quality safe requires a double-walled steel construction to pass European burglary tests, these units are heavy.

Depending on the physical dimensions, a typically small safe weighs between 25kg and 80kg.

While compact models are manageable for two capable adults, manoeuvring larger units risks severe personal injury and property damage.

Select our certified installation service on the product page and let our experts handle the heavy lifting. We are trusted by the world’s largest financial institutions and luxury retailers to install heavy security equipment in the most challenging locations. Navigating staircases and tight spaces requires specialist expertise; our team conducts thorough risk assessments and utilises professional lifting gear to ensure your safe is positioned flawlessly and safely.

Can I bolt my safe to a wooden floor?

Insurers demand a solid, immovable fixing point to validate your safes rating.

Securing your unit directly to standard floorboards provides zero real security, as thieves can simply cut the floorboards away to remove the entire box.

If you must install on a suspended timber floor, you must locate the structural joists and use heavy-duty coach screws. For maximum security, we always advise anchoring to a solid brick wall instead.

Contact our engineering team for straight-talking advice on complex floor structures.

Important Access & Property Considerations

What if my installation is complex or requires navigating stairs?

Because we utilise our own in-house specialist safe engineers, we can accommodate every type of installation scenario. You will need to contact our Safe Experts for a bespoke quotation prior to ordering if your installation involves:

  • Safes weighing over 300kg that need to go up or down stairs
  • Winding, narrow, or non-straight staircases
  • More than two steps for standard ground-floor access
  • Restricted parking or difficult delivery vehicle access

Contacting us for a custom quote ensures we deploy the correct lifting equipment and crew, preventing any unexpected aborted delivery charges on the day.

Use our Contact Form HERE > for a custom quote quotation

I have underfloor heating. Can you still bolt the safe to the floor?

Standard installation involves bolting down into a concrete floor. If you have underfloor heating or hidden pipes where you want the safe, you must advise us prior to delivery.

If our engineers discover heating or pipes on the day, the installation will be aborted and you will incur a charge for us to revisit and complete the job.

Let us know in advance so we can advise on alternative solutions! Click HERE >

What happens if the delivery / installation fails?

To avoid "abandoned order" charges, please be as accurate as possible when placing an order. An extra charge will be applied if a delivery fails due to:

  • Incorrect information about the number of steps required to fulfil the service
  • Lack of parking or vehicle access
  • An unusable or unsuitable lift
  • Providing incorrect information about your flooring material or chosen location
